THE EXPERT'S SPEECH IN THE MAGISTRAL COURSE AND THE ORAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AT THE SCIENTIFIC SECTORS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MASCARA - ALGERIA

A large percentage of new science graduates take university as their choice for further higher education. These students will acquire French for university purposes (FOU) which will be taught in an environment different from that of secondary school. This concept refers according to (Stoean, 2011) to a set of communicative activities, accompanied by techniques and corresponding speech acts, the mastery of which contributes to the development of the skills of reception, comprehension and oral and written production of university speeches and ensures successful completion of learning tasks (2011: p.196). Our research, which is part of the didactics of teaching in specialty fields (FOS / FOU) at Mustapha Stambouli University in Mascara with first year students of the common core bachelor's degree, focuses on the analysis the expertise of the university teacher. The latter is a transmitter of knowledge in lectures (now CM) where his intervention takes place in the educational framework (Dufour & Parpette, 2017). We have found that these students have gaps in understanding the oral discourse produced by the teacher during the CM (Sebane M. A., 2011). To do this, we analyzed the CMs recorded near these teachers and in parallel, the writing written by the students through their answers to the evaluation tests offered by their teachers at the end of each course.
